Cancellation & Refund Policy

If You Cancel All amounts paid to Special T Travels for a hosted trip, including the deposit, instalment payments and balance payments, are non-refundable when a traveller cancels, except as provided below or required by applicable law. If Your Place Is Subsequently Filled Following a cancellation, Special T Travels may, at its sole discretion, make the cancelled place available to another traveller. Special T Travels has no obligation to advertise, market, resell, transfer or otherwise attempt to fill a cancelled place. If Special T Travels subsequently fills the cancelled place and receives the required payment from a replacement traveller, the cancelling traveller may receive a refund of amounts previously paid excluding the original non-refundable deposit, subject to the provisions below. No refund becomes payable merely because another person expresses interest in the trip. A refund under this provision becomes available only after Special T Travels has confirmed that the cancelled place has been filled and sufficient payment has been received from the replacement traveller. Replacement Booking Shortfall If the replacement booking is sold for less than the amount required under the original booking, any refund to the cancelling traveller may be reduced by the resulting shortfall. A refund will never exceed the amount originally paid by the cancelling traveller less the non-refundable deposit. Failure to Pay the Balance If the traveller fails to pay the required balance by the final payment deadline, Special T Travels may cancel the booking and release the place. Payments already received will remain non-refundable under this policy. If Special T Travels Cancels the Entire Trip If Special T Travels cancels an entire hosted trip, Special T Travels will refund all amounts paid directly to Special T Travels for that trip, including the deposit. Special T Travels' obligation is limited to money actually paid to Special T Travels. Special T Travels will not reimburse expenses the traveller has paid or committed to third parties, including airfare, airline change or cancellation fees, independently booked hotels or accommodations, ground transportation, visas or passports, vaccinations or medical expenses, travel insurance premiums, independently booked excursions or activities, meals, lost income or wages, or other personal or travel-related expenses, except where reimbursement is required by applicable law. For this reason, travellers are strongly encouraged to obtain appropriate travel insurance and consider flexible or refundable arrangements for independently booked travel. Trip Changes Are Not Necessarily Cancellations Reasonable changes to an itinerary, accommodation, transportation, activity, schedule or supplier do not constitute cancellation of the entire trip. Where circumstances require a material change, Special T Travels will communicate the change to affected travellers as reasonably practicable. Refund Method Approved refunds will normally be returned using the original payment method where reasonably possible. Processing times may depend on the payment provider and financial institution. Nothing in this policy limits refund or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
